If your looking for sponsors first look for small businesses in your area, maybe skate shops, a mom and pop sandwhich place, etc. Work on small sponsors like htat not big sponsors like Pepsi for example.
Another thing to think about is what value does sponsoring you bring to a business. Business’s sponsor people for advertising reasons, not just to be nice. For example, surfers get paid to put a companies sticker on their board. THey surf in an area where surf magazines shoot pictures and when they get a picture in a surf mag the sponsor gets a free ad out of the pic of their sticker on the boards. WHo is going to see your buddies scooter? Do they have scooter competitions?
You have to try to figure out how to show potential sponsors what you have has value. Your buddy will need to be able to scooter for large audience. I have a few ideas for you. If htey have competitions he should enter all of them and thats’ something you can tell the businesses about. The other thing you could do is make videos and sell them on ebay or post them on youtube. IF you get a lot of hits you can tell the sponsor how many people will see their ads on youtube or the videos you sell.

On thing that will count is his age how old is he. Check with the scooter manufacture. Make up video. Look at related business and soft drinks, clothing. Stuff like that and keep at it. Any thing that would sell to the people who like to watch him.
