The base of the seat is flat, and the scooter deck is also flat. I want to be able to remove the seat. Would powerful velcro be a good idea? Or something else?
What do you suggest would be a good way to attach a seat to my electric scooter so it can come on and off?

Since this seat is not part of a car, as in to hold you in, complete coverage or 1″ wide stripes of velcro should work. Just clean both surfaces good with lighter fluid-paint thinner-lacquer thinner-wax and grease remover-alcohol, something to ensure good bite for the glue. Lowes/Home Depot/Sams Club should carry the rolls of black velcro, should be white box with yellow stripe or writing on it, that should work fine.
If the seat uses a metal piece or something, like a bike seat. You could drill out any bolts and use slip pins like you see on the hoods of race cars. That way, just pull a few pins and the seat is off
