Tom Kruise (not tom cruise) is always screaming about free scooters during daytime TV. They work w/ insurance to hook you up.
tv ads demonstrate scooters for medicare recipients which can be free of charge if you qualify.
Some thrift shops have these scooters used, and for low prices.
Check out goodwill, and other places like the american cancer society, or a health services organization.
