Do you already have an idea about what you are getting your kids for Christmas?

by admin on September 30, 2011

Well folks it is August tomorrow and I start my Christmas shopping in October My kiddos get 15 things a piece and I usually have a budget of 1,100 to 1,200 dollars. Here is what my kiddos idea Christmas list is looking like:

Oldest Son is 9 he will probably get 8 PS3 games,1 Ps3 controller, 1 PS3 charging station, 1 BIG nerf gun, 1 set of ammo for nerf gun,1 art set, 1 scooter, 1 pj’s

My 2nd Son who is 6 will probably get 7 ds games, 1 ds back pack game holder, 1 nerf gun, 1 ammo set for nerf gun,1 skateboard, 1 art set, 2 sets of disney CARS cars, and 1 pj’s

My little girl who will be 2 will probably get this is ALL disney princess stuff 1 baby doll nursery set, 1 baby doll, 1 set baby doll clothes, 1 baby doll diaper bag, 2 barbies,1 toy laptop, 1 set of dress up clothes with trunk, 1 set of dress up shoes, 1 light up book,1 tea set,1 vanity1 baby doll stroller, beauty play set, and 1 pj’s

Than they get candy, a dvd, and an ornament in there stocking
I start saving in January for my budget I try to save 100 to 200 a month. My kids may seem spoiled BUT I only spoil them at Christmas, Birthdays, and Easter they do NOT get toys anything other time only they get things they need threw out the year like clothes, shoes, and school supplies. Geez I thought 15 things wasnt that much before I had my third my 2 boys got 40 things a piece now that was over board LOL.

I don’t have my own kids but wow if I did I’m not sure I’d have that kind of budget. I know my dad didn’t. We used to get 3 gifts each from him and there was a family gift. That was usually a game system. If you can afford to really spoil them well good for you, I would have just the fear they don’t know the meaning of the season. I’m not even for a second questioning your motives, or your parenting skills but if you could include an activity where they are going to give back in the community or whatever ( obviously not the 2 year old) I think it may make them far more thankful for how fortunate they actually are.

Can I just say Sophia has been shitting on everything Christmas today. She seems to think the holiday revolves around her and her bitter life. Gee I can’t imagine why they don’t like you.

Wow, My kids would love to live at your house.

I usually make a donation to the salvation army of 50.00 dollars for each of my children and the little thank you for donating thing goes in their stocking with some oranges and apples and candies.

They get three boxes each. The first box is usually a few outfits of clothing.
The second box is a new pair of shoes, winter coat and yes socks and undies. hehehe

The third is a gift that I choose from their list of things they have asked for. If they are small things, I combine them all into that box.

I have a total budget of 500.00 dollars for all my christmas gifts.
so I buy for my two kids and one gift for hubby.

Everyone else gets homemade stuff.

You could put them in some sort of colored cellophane with a bow? Or reusable tupperware so you can see the cookies through it,You might want to try baskets and decorate them with christmas things. Or even gift boxes that you wrap with wrapping paper separate from the lid
