Before I actually rode an adult electric scooter, I thought scooters were mostly for kids. My neighbor let me ride his one Saturday afternoon, and the rest was history. I have had mine for about 3 months now, and I have discovered some fabulous benefits that I never thought of!
A Chance To Spend Time With My Kids
We have two children. An 8 year old girl, and a 12 year old boy. They each had owned an electric scooter for over a year, and really loved them! Unfortunately, between riding them, and going to school, we didn’t see much of them.
Now that I have an adult electric scooter, we frequently ride together. Sometimes I even load them in to my truck, and take them to a nearby park.
It gives us an excellent opportunity to spend some “quality” time together!
Great For Running Errands
We live in a small, self contained community. Many destinations within the community are too close for a car, yet too far to walk,( ESPECIALLY in the Summer!)
My scooter is perfect for getting me to local stores, recreation center, golf course etc. It is also cheaper than a gas powered scooter, more quiet, and better for the environment.
It has a range of about 12 miles before it needs to be charged, so it is perfect for our local area.
It Is GREAT Fun!
When I am ridng, I feel like a kid again! It is amazing how fun it is to zip around our community! I actually get a sense of freedom and adventure that I haven’t experienced in a long time.
It has a top speed of 15 mph, which is amazingly fast. It is definitely faster than I can run. When all is said and done, who would have thought that I would get all those benefits from an adult electric scooter?!?
